Job Title: Village Games Co-ordinator – Amber Valley
Location: Ripley, Derbyshire.
Salary: £19 621 - £21 519, Fixed Term Contract until July 2013.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated person to join the Community Sports Trust - a Community Interest Company developing sporting opportunities at a grass roots level.
The Derbyshire Village Games is a highly visible, accessible community spirited sport project across rural Derbyshire. It uses inter village competition, festivals and events to encourage people to participate in sport and recreation. It is the catalyst to a programme of club development, coach development and volunteer recruitment, and builds village identity and social interaction.
We are looking for someone who will relish the challenge of working with community networks in Amber Valley, to develop new sporting opportunities for adults and young people and to build a community of sporting volunteers and coaches. You should be a confident relationship builder with the ability to develop and manage links with voluntary and statutory organisations and have a proven track record of ‘making things happen’.
